attack by a drug pusher on Friday.

A Police spokesman said yesterday that the victim was allegedly approached at about 1:40 p.m. in Harlem Heights, Hamilton Parish by another man who offered to sell him drugs.

The man declined the offer but minutes later the dealer returned wielding a machete and slashed him over the head.

Nursing a deep cut to the top of his head, the victim was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Police are investigating the matter.

Deep sleep turned into a nightmare for a woman who awoke to find a stranger rubbing her leg through an open window as she slept.

The woman whose bed was close to a window, claimed she awoke at 4:45 a.m. to find a man caressing her leg.

The offender appeared to have raised a closed but unlocked window before reaching inside the room and touching the woman, a Police spokesman said.

After calling out to the man who made no reply, the woman secured all the doors and windows of the house during which time the man left the scene.
