Heavy rains have caused further delays in waste collection in the East End, but the Ministry of Works has said the backlog should be cleared early next week.

Waste collection on both ends of the Island were initially set back by the Cup Match holiday.

The Ministry has apologised and recommends residents re-bag garbage or bring their garbage to the Tynes Bay Public Drop Off Facility on Palmetto Road, Devonshire for proper disposal.
