Waste collection in the West End will be set back as a result of Monday’s Labour Day Holiday, according to the Department of Waste Management.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works said today that due to the holiday, trash collection in the western parishes would take place on Wednesday and Thursday next week.

Waste collection in the eastern parishes will not be affected, taking place on Tuesday and Friday, as usual.

Changes to waste collection days due to public holidays can be found in the 2014 Garbage and Recycling schedule which can be found in the blue pages of the BTC phone book or online at www.wastemanagement.gov.bm.
