Benoit offers last act for the Folk Club
The Bermuda Folk Club proudly presents Mark Benoit and Friends, Saturday October 8 at the Old Colony Club, Trott Road in Hamilton.
Mark is a veteran Folk Club performer, having first debuted at the Folk Club in 1994. Since then he has been constantly abusing acoustic instruments and sound systems alike, all the while creating such memorable acts as the Jackson/Benoit Quartet and the venerable Slim Chance and the Crying Cowboys.
As Mark and family are planning to leave the Island in the new year, the Folk Club Committee felt it was only fitting to get one more performance out of this fine entertainer. For this show, Mark has assembled several guest performers including Paul Jardine, Neil Ward, Nancie Mcleod and if the karma is right, we might hear from Slim Chance the Crying Cowboys.
The doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 8.45 p.m. Tickets are $3 for members, and $5 for non-members and are available at the door. Join us for what promises to be a great evening's entertainment.
The Bermuda Folk Club Meets on the First Saturday of the Month at the Old Colony Club, and is always keen to meet fresh talent. If you play or sing, or know someone who plays or sings, please Paul MacCoy at 236-8070 (home) or 296-3600 (work), or introduce yourself to one of the committee this Saturday night.
