Five tourists were thankful that a good Samaritan came to their rescue after their Boston Whaler capsized yesterday in the Great Sound.
According to Harbour Radio, the operator of the Pepe reported that he was travelling from Lantana to Riddell's Bay when he discovered the overturned vessel and five people treading water in the area.
They told him the boat hit an "unusual" wave and flipped over. The stranded passengers were ferried to shore. The boat was eventually recovered and taken to the Newstead boat rental facility.
