Daley in a class of his own at Glidden Bowl

Lewis Daley captured the Glidden Bowl 16-18 age group title by a landslide at Riddell’s Bay Golf & Country Club yesterday.

Daley, who led the field from start to finish, closed out with a 74 to finish with a three-round total of 217, which left him 39 strokes clear of Evan Watkins, his nearest rival.

Watkins shot an 84 to equal his lowest round in the event.

Brady Cordeiro won the 13-15 age group, carding a 79 on the final day for 232. He finished five strokes ahead of Alex Mason, who came to within two strokes of the lead on the back nine before losing precious ground coming in. Mason shot a 76 on the final day but it was not enough to get him across the line.

Emma Roberts won the girls division with 278, while Kenny Leseur return a three-round total of 250 to capture the Red Tee open division.

Spencer Young won the novice division played over six holes a day, with a final score of 104. He was a 17-stroke winner over Ethan Sousa.
