It has been several years since a new hotel has come to Bermuda, so Pink Beach Club & Cottages is doing the next best thing -- adding new units to their present property.

With an investment of over $10 million, the exclusive cottage colony has just completed construction of four brand new deluxe suites and a further 17 are scheduled to open in July.

Roof wetting of the four oceanfront suites in the completed Ambassador and Governor Cottages took place last week. The four rooms each feature a four poster king sized bed and luxury amenities including, bathrobes, umbrellas, a soaking tub, wet bar and in-room Internet access.

"These new suites are ideal for honeymooners or couples,'' said Pink Beach Managing Director Michael Williams.

"Families seeking spacious accommodations will also enjoy the fact that our new suites can be configured into one, two and three bedrooms.'' Once the junior suites are completed, over fifty percent of the Club's accommodations will have been either refurbished or totally rebuilt within the last two years.

Also under construction at the East End hotel are luxury condominiums. Hidden Cove is being erected right on the beach and is expected to be completed by December.

Mr. Williams noted three of the condos have already been sold. With price tags upward of $1,950,000 the development will feature 19 three and four bedroom units.

Owners of the condos will be able to rent their units through Pink Beach Club as luxury suites.

"The benefits to this programme are two-fold,'' said Mr. Williams, "owners will be able to enjoy rental income when they are not in residence at Hidden Cove and Pink Beach Club will have a new tier of luxury accommodations for its most discriminating guests.'' Residences at Hidden Cove will have high tray ceilings, fireplaces, brass fittings and natural hardwood window frames to create what the Club says will be "an upscale and elegant atmosphere, with all the comforts of home''.

All bedrooms will feature en suite bathrooms and each home will have a spacious verandah and access to common area swimming pool.
