Impressive motor yacht returns

Sailing in: The world’s second largest private motor yacht, the Eclipse, seen here in 2013, has returned to Bermuda. It is owned by Russian tycoon and Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovich

The luxury motor yacht made for Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich glided into Bermuda at the weekend.

The multimillion dollar Eclipse arrived off the East End at around 2pm on Saturday from Gibraltar.

The vessel and 59 occupants came alongside in Hamilton, although it is unclear how long they will remain in Bermuda.

The 536ft-long yacht, which was last in Bermuda in January 2013, was delivered to Russian businessman and football club owner Mr Abramovich on December 9 2010.

Eclipse is the world’s second largest private yacht after the Azzam, which launched in April 2013.

The motor yacht has two helicopter pads, 24 guest cabins, two swimming pools, several hot tubs, and a disco hall.

It is also equipped with three launch boats and a mini-submarine that is capable of submerging to 50 metres.
