Scottish Annuity & Life in secondary BSX listing
Bermuda-based insurance company Scottish Annuity & Life Holdings did a secondary listing on the Bermuda Stock Exchange this week.
The company, which listed earlier this year on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) after moving its listing from the Nasdaq, said its secondary BSX listing was of up to 33,479,058 ordinary shares.
Although incorporated in the Caymans, the company said the Island was its principal place of business. Its listing on the BSX follows the listing of another Bermuda insurer in recent weeks - IPC Re.
President and CFO Scott Willkomm said: "The listing on the BSX is very important for us as we shall be recognised as a member of the innovative environment that Bermuda is well known for. This listing is another step, along with many others we've taken, to further enhance the quality of the franchise that we have developed," he said.
James S. McKirdy, BSX listings and compliance manager, said: "As a secondary listing Scottish Annuity & Life Holdings joins the growing list of Bermuda domiciled insurance companies to list on the Exchange."
