Bermuda Press Holdings Ltd. yesterday announced the appointment of Christine Macintyre as its new chief financial officer.

The company, which owns this newspaper, said the position would replace the role of the former group controller. The new CFO will oversee all budgeting, accounting, reporting and financing activities of the group.

Ms Macintyre was previously a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Bermuda, and was involved for several years in the BP(H) audit.

A statement from the company yesterday said Ms Macintyre will be instrumental in the conversion to international financial reporting standards.
