DAB turns back application for new Sandys church
Sandys Jehovah?s Witnesses have been told they cannot build a new Kingdom Hall because the Development Applications Board found the church could not say how many the new building would hold.
The DAB also did not think the proposed site at 43 Cambridge Road was big enough for the needs of the West End congregation. ?The Board is not satisfied that the size and configuration of the site is suited to the form and scale of social development proposed,? the DAB meeting minutes said.
In addition, the proposed building and parking area are sited on an Agricultural Land Conservation Area, nor are enough parking spaces planned.
And it also emerged this week a number of additions will soon be taking place at the Christ Church Presbyterian Church of Scotland at 96 Middle Road, Warwick.
The Church of Scotland will relocate its driveway to suit new additions of its South hall and garden storage buildings.
It will also install a new asphalt area for parking and youth activities, renovate a basement classroom, relocate the cesspit and Belco power line.
