European Media Enterprises to create the country's first independent national TV station.

MMTV and Tele 59 have joined with CME to form POP TV, which offers entertainment and information programming.

Mr. Marjan Jurenec, founder of MMTV, and Marjan Meglic, founder of Tele 59, are CME's local partners in the new venture, which was announced on Friday.

POP TV will distribute programming and production services to television outlets throughout Slovenia, as well as selling advertising.
