weekend centred on Bermuda's involvement in the American Civil War.

The exhibit, entitled "Rogues & Runners'', will incorporate new research conducted in Bermuda and overseas.

It will also include a museum shop and a 13-minute video called "Bermuda: Centre of the Atlantic'' which gives a history of the Island.

The Bermuda National Trust Museum is located in the Globe Hotel building which was previously named the Confederate Museum.

It has been renovated, although the exhibits of the new museum are not yet completed.

"This is the product of years of planning and, more recently, months of intense activity,'' said acting Trust president Henry Ming.

The museum, on the corner of King's Square, officially opens at 10 a.m. today.

Ming, museums committee chairman Jay Bluck, and major donors Michael DeGroote, Faith Humann of the Humann Foundation, and Michael Collier of the Bank of Butterfield.
