'It has been a long road'

A housing development in Southampton officially opened on Friday with dozens of homebuyers, builders, contractors and neighbours attending a ceremony.
The St. Anne's Road project, spearheaded by White Cross Development Ltd., is comprised of 16 detached homes. All but two have been sold.
"It has been a long road to the culmination," White Cross Development president Kevin Cross said. Mr. Cross said he was "extremely thrilled and pleased" with the finished product.
The three-bedroom, 3,000-square-foot homes are available only to Bermudians.
A new phase of the development, which includes an additional eight townhouses and four detached homes, is currently in progress.
