Four podium finishes for Barnes

Scott Barnes posted four podium finishes on the final race day of the karting season to cap a dominant campaign.The top driver had a first and third in the TAG Class where he was crowned season champion after finishing the campaign 108 points ahead of nearest rival David Barbosa who was runner up behind Barnes in the day’s opening heat at Southside Raceway.Stephen Corrado, who also posted a first and a third on the day, finished third in the championship points standings just 14 points adrift of Barbosa.Barnes also extended his steady form in the 125cc Shifter Class where he posted a first and second. The well known fisherman won the 125cc Shifter Championship by a comfortable 114 point margin over nearest rival Corrado. Shannon Caisey rounded off the top three in the championship series respectively.Ryan Burgess won both heats in the Junior Stock Clone Class (7-10 yrs). Burgess won his respective championship series, featuring only two drivers, by a landslide.Zavier Smith won both heats in the Junior Stock Clone Class (10-15 yrs). Blake Horseman won the championship series by a 48 point margin over nearest rival Owen DeCosta.Zanardi Daley won both heats in the Junior Modified Clone Class (10-15 yrs). Ryan Lopes won the championship series by a 364 point spread over nearest rival Daley.During the course of the season each driver was allowed one drop for every five race days.
