Brooke Dolan has been initiated into the Endicott College chapter of Mortar Board, a US national honour society for students in their senior year of college.

Ms Dolan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Dolan of Smith's, is majoring in hospitality and tourism administration.

To be eligible to join the student-administered Mortar Board, students must be in the top 35 percent of their class and have demonstrated a record of service and leadership. Endicott College is a professional and liberal arts college in Beverly, Massachusetts.

Chelsea Radigan, a former resident of Bermuda, was recently named an AP Scholar with Honour.

Ms Radigan, of New York City is a 2009 graduate of Foxcroft School in Virginia and is now at the University of Miami, Florida. To be an AP Scholar with Honour, students must achieve an average of 3.25 on all Advance Placement exams they take and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of the tests.
