was attacked and killed by a larger, more powerful dog, or dogs, as it was helplessly tied up by a rope, an autopsy has revealed.

Contrary to earlier speculation that the dog's throat had been slashed by a human, it now appears the dog's neck had been broken and its muzzle and jaw shattered by the bite of another dog, Government Dog Warden Leonard (Shinah) Simons yesterday confirmed.

"I don't know what kind of dog did this but it was obviously a much bigger dog with very powerful jaws; it also could have been more than one dog,'' said Mr. Simons.

In addition to the broken neck and shattered muzzle, the autopsy revealed there were numerous puncture wounds and lacerations to Domino. The autopsy also concludes Domino was alive and tied up during the attack.

Mr. Simons refused to identify which veterinarian carried out the autopsy, but said he was relieved to learn no human was responsible for the dog's death.

Domino was found dead on Friday morning after being tied-up overnight on a vacant lot in Hamilton Parish by his owner, Odinga Hodgson of Bailey's Bay.
