Company appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Calvin Richardson, 31, of no fixed abode, elected to have the case heard in Supreme Court.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis ruled that he be remanded in custody until his next court date, later this month.

Richardson was charged with the March 31 robbery which allegedly saw him enter the Bermuda Paint Company building on Brighton Hill in Devonshire at 10.30 a.m. and demand money.

Staff had complied with the robber's demands. Some then followed him out of the store in an effort to provide Police with a good description.

No weapons were used in the incident and no one was injured.

SUSPENDED SENTENCE FOR OUTERBRIDGE CTS Suspended sentence for Outerbridge There was a stroke of luck for Ralph Outerbridge when he admitted stabbing a man.

Fifty-one-year-old Outerbridge, of Cedar Park, Devonshire, was charged with unlawfully wounding Wayman Minks back in December. He was given a suspended prison sentence.

In his defence he told Senior Magistrate Will Francis: "It's the first time I've ever used a weapon. I always use my hands. Things are getting to a point where I can't take too much irritation.'' The court heard that around noon on December 18 the victim, Mr. Minks, spotted Outerbridge on the dock in Flatts. Mr. Minks brought his boat to the dock and an argument broke out between the two men.

During the altercation Outerbridge took a knife and stabbed Mr. Minks in the forehead. The victim ran to Four Star Pizza and told two patrons who had stabbed him.

Police arrested Outerbridge later in the day. At that time he denied stabbing Mr. Minks. He claimed that he had only punched him.

Pleading guilty to the charge in plea court yesterday, Outerbridge received a three-month prison sentence, suspended for a year.

He was also fined $700 for possession of cannabis. Officers found 6.91 grams on him in his front jacket pocket.

US VISITOR CAUGHT WITH CANNABIS CTS US visitor caught with cannabis A 23-year-old American visitor, who was planning to use drugs on her Bermuda vacation, had to pay $1,000 for her bad idea.

Tyler Wellman, a home help nurse visiting the Island with her family, was stopped by Customs officers on her arrival at the airport last Saturday afternoon.

Wellman was hiding 11.9 grams of cannabis in her bra.

When she handed the drugs over to officers she asked: "Will I go to jail for this?'' For possession of the drugs, Wellman was fined $900 and for possession of drug equipment $100. The case was heard in Magistrates' Court before Senior Magistrate Will Francis.

MAN ADMITS THREATENING POLICE CTS Man admits threatening Police A 35-year-old man admitted threatening to shoot Police officers.

Antoine Dill, of Melville Road, Devonshire, warned Police officers who tried to arrest him: "I'm gonna get my own gun and shoot you.'' The situation arose last Thursday, Magistrates' Court heard yesterday.

Officers had been called to a domestic dispute at 11 Parliament Street, the home of Dill's mother. On arrival Dill's mother told the officers to remove her son from the premises.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor said Dill was in a small bedroom. When the three attending officers approached him, he refused to leave, saying he had paid rent. Advising him that he had not, the officers suggested he vacate the property.

Unwilling to go, Dill threatened the officers, who in turn attempted to arrest him. Dill violently resisted.

Dill who is unemployed, pleaded guilty to both charges. He was fined a total of $200 by Senior Magistrate Will Francis.
