Now the owners of the St. George's Club have taken legal action to dislodge architect Mr. Lawrence Brady from his management role at its Achilles Bay beach club.

St. George's Club chief Mr. Alastair Woolf yesterday refused to comment on the legal action.

But club insiders say that it is claimed that Mr. Brady has not lived up to the terms of the business plan he prepared when he took over the beach house bar/restaurant at Achilles Bay seven months ago.

It is believed that notice to quit was served on Mr. Brady some weeks ago, but he has refused to give up possession of the premises.

Mr. Brady was retained as the club architect when Mr. Woolf bought the St.

Georges Club from its receivers last year in a multi-million dollar deal, but was later replaced by Cooper & Gardner.

He took over the beach club operation with partner Mr Terry Pryse in March, but Mr. Pryse is understood to have left shortly afterwards.

Mr. Brady was unavailable for comment.
