Three Police officers were recently promoted ? two to the rank of Sergeant and one to the rank of Inspector.

Insp. Martin Weekes won the Queen?s Golden Jubilee Medal in 2003 and also received a Good Conduct Medal in 1997. He originally served as a Police cadet and a Police constable in Kent Constabulary in the UK.

When he joined the Bermuda Police Service he served as a Parish constable in Smith?s Parish and later as a schools? liaison officer in St. George?s.

He was promoted to Sergeant in 1999. Insp. Weekes is a member of the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit (EOD) and the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit.

He will be serving as Duty Inspector (Watch Commander) at the Hamilton Police Station.

Sgt. Na?imah Bean has served in Central Uniform, the Task Force, Traffic, Specialist Operations and Special Branch. She spent her last four years in Vehicle Crime.

Now, after ten years as a member of the Bermuda Police Service ? she began as a Cadet ? she will serve as Watch Sergeant at the Hamilton Police Station. Before becoming a Police Constable she graduated from the Recruit Foundation Course in 1995.

Sgt. Ian DeAllie has received two Commissioner?s Commendations, a Commissioner?s Recognition Award and numerous Letters of Good Work. He joined Police in 1985 and has served in Central Uniform, Central CID, Major Incident Room, Intelligence Division, Narcotics Division, Serious Crime Unit and Commercial Crime Unit.
