Visitors to Bermuda and returning residents arriving on flights from Canada and the US yesterday reported that security overseas was not demonstrably higher than usual despite the wave of bombings which hit London yesterday.

spoke with people who flew from Toronto, Chicago, Philadelphia and Boston. Arriving passengers reported no extra security delays at the airports of their departure.

Some passengers said they had not heard of the London bombings until just before they boarded their flights.

?We didn?t know about the bombings until we saw it on CNN on the airport TVs,? said Dr. John O?Loughlin, who was arriving from Boston.

?It became eerie and scary when people found out,? added his wife.
