Siergio's mother Carolyn Drover said the two boys were playing on the Royal Naval Field in Somerset on Sunday.
There they saw an older boy take the money out of a wallet which he then threw in the trash.
Once he left, she continued, the two boys retrieved the wallet and took it to Regis' house where his mother contacted the owner.
The man -- who said the wallet was stolen while he was at Somerset Cricket Club -- visited the boys on Monday night and thanked them for their kind deed.
He also gave them each a $25 reward for the trouble they had saved him as he would have been forced to cancel and renew his licence and credit cards.
