BCMA names new president
Santucci.
He replaces Rev. Harlyn Purdy, who recently took up a new post in Prince Edward Island in Canada.
Rev. Purdy, pastor of the West Pembroke Pentecostal Assembly, had played a key role in setting up a ministry for former gays.
Rev. Santucci was elected to replace him last month.
Other elections to the BCMA executive included Rev. Howard Dill, vice president; Rev. Sandra Leonard, secretary; and Rev. Canon Thomas Nisbett, treasurer.
Also elected were: Rev. Dave Long, youth director; Rev. Ron Vincent, chairman of Social Action; Rev. Gregory Leonard, chairman of Spiritual Life; Rev.
Colbert Sesanka, member at large; and Rev. Dr. John Ramsey, member at large.
Rev. Santucci said the BCMA invited the support and involvement of the community. Membership dues were $10.
"As a member you can share in our monthly fellowship meetings and challenge and encourage others through your walk with the Lord.'' He added: "The BCMA represents a group of ministers of the word of God, drawn from various denominations, who are committed to fostering fellowship, increasing knowledge of the Gospel and providing a united effort.'' Next BCMA meeting is on February 1 at 9.30 a.m. in the Stonington Beach Hotel boardroom.
On January 28 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Rev. Sesanka will hold a seminar at Heritage Hall, Dundonald Street, on the Billy Graham Crusade for Bermuda.
