Labour, Home Affairs and Public Safety on January 1, 1996.

In his new job Mr. Drinkwater, who first came to Bermuda in 1971 as the Adjutant to the Bermuda Regiment, will be the principle adviser to the Minister on all policy matters related to his area of responsibility.

He will also coordinate the work of all departments in the Ministry which include Labour, Health and Safety, Immigration, the Registry General, Defence, Fire and Police Services.

Mr. Drinkwater was born in the United Kingdom in 1944 and married a Bermudian in 1980.

During his time in the British Army he served in Aden, Germany and Northern Ireland.
