Conyers Dill & Pearman (CD&P) showed its support of local conservation efforts by donating 75 cedar trees.

One of the trees ? selected to represent the law firm?s 75th anniversary ? was planted at Spittal Pond last Thursday.

John Collis, head of the corporate department, planted the tree with Jeremy Madeiros, Government?s chief conservation officer.

?The timing of this generous donation could not be better, said Mr. Madeiros. ?The Island is in serious need of replenishment in terms of damaged or lost flora.

?This gesture will go some significant way towards our efforts of returning Bermuda to her natural, indigenous beauty.? ?Many more will be planted in various locations including Spittal Pond and Astwood Park,? said Ross Webber, CD&P?s marketing manager.

?It was a gesture we wanted to make to the Island in the wake of Hurricane Fabian,? he added.
