Trucks and vans are for sale in the section. But fire engines, ambulances, buses, taxis, trash trucks and other large insulated vehicles can also be ordered.

The company is also creating a database on the types of vehicles owned by commercial customers to assist in providing appropriate parts and other maintenance services.

HWP commercial account representative Scott Culver boasted the department's suppliers could "provide any type of vehicle required for Bermuda''.

But he said HWP was always mindful of sticking to TCD's rules.

"When a light, intermediate or heavy vehicle is brought to the Island, one of the first issues for us to consider is that the vehicle meets all of the legal requirements in terms of length and width.''
