An early morning high-speed chase landed a 22-year-old Pembroke man in hospital yesterday after he lost control of his cycle in a Hamilton parking lot.
At 4.15 a.m. the motorcyclist initiated the chase on Angle Street, Pembroke when he overtook an unmarked Police vehicle on the inside. The rider then sped off, pursued by the Police car throughout the streets of north Hamilton. Finally after turning onto Park Road, the rider lost control of his cycle in the Atlantic House parking lot, colliding with a concrete parking barrier.
The man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was treated for a severe injury to a left finger.
