Police are investigating two burglaries in which bundles of cash were stolen from homes.

Sometime between 10.30 p.m. on Saturday and 9.30 a.m. yesterday, someone broke into a house in Sun Valley Road, Warwick, and stole $195 cash. And between 4 p.m. and 9. 30 p.m. last Thursday, burglars broke into a home on Portland Close, Sandys, and stole a wallet containing $200.

Inquiries into both incidents are underway and anyone with information should call Police on 295-0011.

Handbag snatcher targets South Shore

A thief stole a woman's handbag from her car while it was parked by a South Shore beach. The victim told Police she parked her car in the parking lot of Chaplain Bay about 1.30 p.m. last Thursday, and when she returned about an hour later, she found her vehicle had been broken into.

The thief had stolen her black Fossil handbag, containing a black Kenneth Cole wallet, Ray Ban sunglasses, a Mont Blanc pen, Motorola V66 cell phone, $200 cash and other personal items.

Driver's windscreen shattered by rock

A woman had a close call after someone threw a rock - smashing her windscreen - as she drove through Pembroke. Police said the victim had been driving south on North Street, and was approaching the roundabout, when someone threw the rock, shattering her windscreen, on Thursday evening.

Woman pays price for leaving car

A woman who left her car for an hour at Chaplin Bay returned to find her handbag had been stolen from it.

Her bag contained a black Kenneth Cole wallet, Ray Ban sunglasses, a Mont Blanc pen, a Motorola V66 cellular phone, $200 in cash and other personal items.

The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon.
