School impresses Minister Butler

Minister of Community and Cultural Affairs, Dale Butler visited the Western Community Education School and said he was pleased with the classes, instructors and childcare programme.

Mr. Butler attended the classes with Senior Community and Cultural Affairs officer, Heather Whalen. The pair visited many classes including Spanish, computers, cooking, plumbing, anger management and conflict resolution, stained glass, Portuguese, art and cake decorating.

The Minister was also impressed with the evening childcare programme service which provides parents with a place to take their children while participating in the evening classes.

The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs thanks the instructors who take the time to come out and teach the classes and the school principals and teachers for their support.
