Make-overs for moms at St. Brendan's

They were treated to a free Mother's Day beauty make-over by some of the staff from Trimingham Brothers' beauty department.

This is the first time that Trimingham's and St. Brendan's have linked up in this way and the mothers were all pleased with the results.

All the moms got hand and skin treatments, their nails painted, a relaxing facial, professionally applied make-up and their hair professionally styled.

Cosmetics Senior Buyer Aileen Rubinchak first came up with the idea because of her husband's work with St. Brendan's.

"We all get caught up in the nitty gritty things of everyday life and often forget about the people that are institutionalised,'' she said. "I just thought this would be a great idea.'' She added that Trimingham's hoped to make this an annual Mother's Day event.

Staff Nurse Caroyln Butler said: "It's great because it helps with the integration into the community.'' Trimingham's beauty consultants Leroyce Kyler and Prisilla Lewis were there to make the mothers look their best.

Ms Kyler said this was an opportunity for the moms to feel like they were in a beauty salon being pampered in preparation for Mother's Day celebrations.

Following the beauty treatments, Trimingham's provided each of the mothers with a complimentary gift bag filled with perfume, hand and body lotion and other goodies to keep them looking beautiful.

LOOKING GOOD!
