Birds not of the same feather!
Hitchcock can tell you another -- with a difference.
It follows his visit last week to Freeport Gardens Restaurant in Dockyard to pick up a new feathered friend, Lord Nelson.
As restaurant boss Mr. Terry DeSilva tried to transfer the playful parrot into Jimmy's cage Lord Nelson decided to ruffle a few feathers.
In short, he gave his new owner a right old bill-ocking as you can see in these splendid snaps by our quick-witted photographer Mr. Tony Cordeiro.
Tony was at the restaurant on another matter when the delightful little cameo cropped up.
As Tony went CLICK Lord Nelson went SNAP, provoking giggles all round. Even Jimmy couldn't hide a wry smile.
Of course, the little tussle was finally resolved with Lord Nelson being coaxed into his new cage.
But it just goes to show -- a parrot and his master are rarely birds of a feather! A BIRD IN THE HAND, OR SO IT WOULD SEEM -- (Left) Lord Nelson shows a cagey side as Mr. DeSilva reaches out past a distinctly wary Jimmy. (Centre) Jimmy, under attack, prepares to give Lord Nelson some stick. (Right) Lord Nelson gives his new owner a hair-raising time, but Jimmy heads out of trouble by bending down to the cage.
