Assault victim airlifted to US
A 31-year-old, who was injured during an assault, was flown to the Lahey Clinic in Massachusetts after he was still unresponsive two weeks after the altercation.
Police reported that a 56-year-old Pembroke man was arrested and is currently out on bail after he and the victim became heated during an argument on January 30.
The victim was visiting a neighbour when the man attended the residence looking for him.
They went outside where an argument progressed into a physical altercation.
The victim went back into his neighbour?s house complaining of a headache and showed his neighbour a bruise he received to his upper arm.
Two weeks later the victim was at his parent?s home when people at the residence attempted to wake him he was unresponsive.
His mother called an ambulance and he was admitted to the intensive care unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital but was later flown to the Lahey Clinic.
