have again been given the green light by development chiefs.

But they deferred making a decision on another office block scheme put forward for Court Street.

Yesterday the Development Applications Board released their decisions on 17 planning applications.

DAB members said they wanted more information on an application to build a five storey building for professional offices and local services at 65 Court Street.

The land and existing building -- used by PLP MP Lois Browne Evans -- are owned by Juvenile Court Magistrate Arthur Hodgson.

However, the existing building will have to be demolished to pave the way for the new block, which may also include a couple of shops.

The DAB also gave reapproval of planning permission for the Seon Building, next to Dismont Robinson's on Front Street.

Seon Place Ltd., a group of developers headed by Sir John, want to build the eight floor shopping and office complex on Front Street.

The developers originally included Austrian millionaire Wolfgang Flottl, but he has since pulled out of the venture, officially unveiled in 1992.

In other decisions, the DAB approved an application by Michael Grant, of Mangrove Bay Road, to convert a home into a cafe on the ground floor and commercial use on the upper floor.

The Board refused an application by the Baha'i Centre, on Cedar Avenue, for a new basement floor, toilet, kitchen and offices on the grounds it does not satisfy road conditions.

It also refused a bid by Raymond White for renovations and additions to a shop on Euclid Avenue saying it did not satisfy conditions in the Bermuda Plan 1992.

Three applications were approved -- to rebuild six existing horse stables at Stables Management Ltd., Smith's, an extra parking lot on Berry Hill Road, applied for by the Bermuda Hospitals Board, and two new satellite dishes on Middle Road for Cable and Wireless.
