New chief for onions

The Par-la-Ville Road bar and restaurant will open for lunch throughout the year and will organise monthly themes for its Friday happy hour sessions.
"It will be the rebirth of Bermuda's most popular happy hour,'' said Mr.
Schmitz.
Mr. Schmitz left the Chancery Wine Bar in April after four years as general manager.
"I was a minority shareholder in Chancery Wine Bar with no outlook of achieving a majority shareholding. This is the reason I have been looking into other ventures.'' In his contract, he has first option to buy MR Onions.
The Chancery Wine Bar's owner, Mr. Trevor Nicholls, has taken over the managing role.
Mr. Schmitz has produced a new lunch menu, which incorporates new dishes such as vegetable crepes, deep fried brie with walnut vinaigrette, crab melt and as well as other dishes which reflect Mr. Schmitz's Bavarian origins.
A daily business lunch menu will change monthly.
Others changes include a new wine list, new staff uniforms and a new sound system.
Mr. Brian Hetzel has been the restaurant's owner and manager for the past nine years.
Mr. Schmitz's also opened Loquats Restaurant for Gourmet International, for whom he also worked as manager of the Hog Penny Restaurant.
