Jennings to leave Village?

Inspirational North Village midfielder Keith Jennings is contemplating severing ties with the triple crown champions after falling out with the team.

Jennings, scheduled to undergo football trials with Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) club Baltimore Blast in the US next week, is currently serving a multiple game suspension after landing himself in hot water with the club.

The talented player enjoyed an outstanding season at Village last campaign, winning a coveted triple crown of championships and then being voted as the Premier Division?s Most Valuable Player.

Jennings, however, hasn?t donned a Reds jersey since last April?s FA Cup Final at the National Sports Centre and was absent for Village?s Martonmere Cup Group A clash with PHC Zebras on Tuesday night at BAA Field.

And according to club sources the 29-year-old playmaker is now seeking a release from Bernard Park.

When contacted yesterday, North Village Community Club (NVCC) president Shervin Dill declined to comment on a matter he dubbed as ?internal?.

Jennings previously underwent trials with another MISL outfit, Kansas City Attack, in the 1990s.

And in 2003, the gifted footballer backed away from a one-year deal with Canadian Professional League side Hamilton Thunder after impressing coaching staff during trials.

Jennings is due to take part in the Blast?s three-day invitational trials from October 11 to October 13 ? his first run-out at a professional outfit in North America in the past three years.
