fund-raising event of the year this Saturday night.

KBB's "Night of 1000 Delights'' will feature an open bar, a buffet and a treasure hunt with real jewellery.

Over $50,000 worth of treasure, from 15 local contributors, has been donated -- with the lucky hunters getting to keep what they find.

The evening will have an exotic Middle and Far Eastern flavour. Guests are invited to dress up to add to the festivities, but costumes are not required.

A variety of foods, prepared by top local chefs, "is sure to stimulate even the most tired of taste buds,'' say organisers.

Entertainment includes dancing all night to the sounds of local bands. Black Family Productions and the original Sharx are set to play.

The Empress Mennen Dancers will dance to music by the Mandela Freedom Drummers. And Sopworth, the camel, will also be on hand to entertain party-goers.

The evening begins at 5 p.m. when a party boat will leave Albouy's Point for a secret island destination.

Governor Lord Waddington and Lady Waddington are expected to launch the event.

Actress Victoria Rowell, who plays Drucilla on The Young and the Restless, will be the mistress of ceremonies.

Money raised will go toward KBB's future plans for environmental education.

Tickets are priced at $75 each.
