Entrepreneurs Mr. Larry Ingham and his wife Mrs. Patricia Ingham -- known for their mobile snowball operation -- today open their first store.

"The Princess Street location in Hamilton takes the business to a new level,'' they said.

"The operation of our various mobile snowball units over the past three years has lead us to open Snowy's,'' said Mr. Ingham.

The Inghams will continue to operate their brightly-coloured mobile snowball units at Cup Match, the boat races at Ferry Reach, the pavilion at Dockyard, along South Shore near the Warwick gas station, at Hamilton Harbour Nights and "under the tree'' near Dellwood School as well as during Bermuda Day.

The new fixed store is located just off Dundonald Street in the old Lunch Box restaurant.

"We have built up a reputation and now we can solidify the business with a permanent location which will not be impacted by the weather,'' said Mr.

Ingham.

The permanent location also allows us to offer deluxe cream flavoured snowballs like peaches and cream, coconut cream, as well as banana, pineapple and even chocolate cream, he added.

"At the Princess Street location, we will be able to provide extended hours,'' he said.

Mr. Ingham said the Princess Street operation will also offer mini-doughnuts and when summer winds down he will likely introduce other items to the menu.

The Inghams, who make the 24 different flavoured syrups and ice daily, said they have always considered themselves entrepreneurs and have explored several business ventures from Amway to picture buttons before settling on the snowball operation.

The Ingham's daughter Tanaeya, 15, and their son Kyle, 10, participate in the "family business'', said Mrs. Ingham.

After a five-year search, we found a snowball machine which produces "the world's fluffiest snowball'', he added.

The Inghams plan grand opening festivities in about 10 days.

Mr. Ingham said he may consider opening additional snowball stores.

OPEN TODAY -- Snowy's, a business owned and operated by the Mr. Larry Ingham and Mrs. Patricia Ingham, features a Bermuda favourite -- cool snowballs. It opened today on Princess Street in Hamilton.
