Cellular phone provider Mobility Ltd. has been relaunched with a new name and new products.

The subsidiary of telecommunications group Keytech has been renamed M3 Wireless Ltd. and will now be offering Blackberrys, the ITUNES Roker and has signed a partnership with cell phone giant T-Mobile so that it can offer roaming worldwide.

M3, headed up by chief executive officer Lloyd Fray and chief operating officer John Narraway, also announced at a press conference at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute that the M3 Wireless retail will open today at 3 Burnaby Street, Hamilton.

?M3 Wireless has been two years in the making and it required that we totally dismantle and rebuild our core company and partner with T-Mobile to set up extensive roaming agreements worldwide,? Mr. Fray said yesterday.

?It also required that we establish international vendor partnerships in order to offer world class products to our customers.?

?We are the only 100 percent Bermudian-owned local wireless provider and now we have an international footing.

?This is an incredible accomplishment for an organisation with 30 employees.?

Among the company?s first products to be introduced locally is Blackberry and the ITUNES Roker.

?Over the two-year period of development, we invested heavily in our network infrastructure. We examined every role and function in the company,? Mr. Fray said.

?We established a new philosophy and a new mission, and in the end what created was not merely a vast improvement over the old Mobility, it was a completely different entity, so different that we had no choice but to reflect that with a new name and look.?

Mr. Narraway said the M3 team, along with the guidance of its holding company Keytech, infused a great deal of energy and capital into this project and started with improving coverage.

?We made huge capital investments in our infrastructure until we had the seamless Island coverage our customers demanded.

?We revamped our internal operations, everything from our billing to our employee satisfaction and we wanted position ourselves to take advantage of global trends and simplify our customers? lives through the best technologies possible.?
