Coaching course participants saluted

Bermuda Football Association (BFA) youth committee chairman and first vice president Cal Blankendal yesterday saluted those who successfully completed the association's three-part Youth C Licence Coaching Course conducted by UEFA certified instructor and long-serving BFA executive Jon Beard.

A total of 51 participants took part in the course that touched on all of the fundamentals of the game and concluded earlier this week, 49 of whom met required standards. "On behalf of the Executive Council, the BFA youth committee wishes to congratulate the 49 participants who successfully completed the C Licence Coaching Course," Blankendal stated. Having been encouraged by the significant number of coaches who made the sacrifice and effort to broaden their coaching abilities, Blankendal hopes to see the positive trend continued during the BFA's youth committee's annual coaches/administrators meeting to be held on September 20 and Basic Referee Course to be conducted by national referee Lyndon Raynor and senior BFA executive Gregory Grimes on September 22. Both events will take place at BAA Field.

"We look forward to continued support and welcome you to the BFA fraternity of coaches," Blankendal added. "Your commitments as a licenced coach will be appreciated by the entire family of football."
