Rubbery opens skins clinic and hair studio
clinic and hair studio.
Named The Secret Garden, the studio is a concession within the Southampton Princess hotel.
He opened another Southampton Princess concession, the Body Tech health club in January 1992. Now, he wants to link the two and create a spa and health education centre.
Inspired by children's book, The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, he has renovated the skin and hair care concession in the style of a Bermuda house and garden.
"In the same way the book describes children escaping to their own places, guests and locals will be able to rejuvenate in The Secret Garden,'' he said.
"I want to offer guests a one day spa experience with relaxation and therapeutic services,'' said Mr. Ruberry, who has a degree in biology and psychology.
"I have used by swimming and academic experience to run lifestyle management courses at Body Tech and previously at The Athletic Club and The Olympic Club.
I now want the holistic side to compliment Body Tech's health and fitness regime.
His new studio comprises a central, open plan "garden'' and three Bermuda pastel coloured treatment rooms.
The Secret Garden, which opened on Saturday, October 9, offers spa treatments, waxing, manicures, pedicures, facials and hair care.
"Locals can avoid Hamilton's parking and traffic congestion when they use the Secret Garden,'' he said.
