A 23-year-old Paget man was in critical condition at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital last night after the van in which he was a passenger collided with a car early on Saturday.

The accident was one of three which put motorists in hospital over the weekend with serious injuries.

At 4.45 a.m. on Saturday, Police attended the collision at the junction of Victoria Street and Court Street.

The man was a passenger in the van driven by a 60-year-old Devonshire woman, who has since been discharged from hospital. Details surrounding the incident continue to remain unclear.

At 4.30 a.m. on Saturday morning, Police attended a report of a single vehicle road traffic accident at Crow Lane.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 24-year-old Warwick man was taken to KEMH for treatment of head injuries. He is in the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital in critical but stable condition.

Another accident involving a car and a tractor trailer on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish on Saturday resulted in a 43-year-old Southampton man being rushed to the hospital for treatment of facial injuries. He has since been discharged.

Police attended the scene of the accident at 6.30 a.m. near Winton Hill Lane. The tractor trailer was travelling east with an oversized load when it was in collision with the car driven by the Southampton man. The car was extensively damaged.

The passenger of the car received minor injuries and declined medical treatment. The tractor trailer driver was not injured.
