Court this morning after causing a disturbance at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The 31-year-old Smith's man had been taken to hospital suffering from minor arm and rib injuries following a single vehicle accident in the early hours of yesterday morning.

But he refused to be treated and suddenly became abusive to medical staff, who also noticed that he appeared intoxicated.

Police were called to the scene and arrested the man who has been detained at Hamilton Police Station.
