Hamilton shopping mall after being ordered not to by the owners.

Keith Peniston, 41, was charged with two counts of entering the Washington Mall on Reid and Church streets on consecutive days in February.

In Magistrates' Court last week, Peniston claimed he had entered the mall to look for some boxes.

But prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor said Police were called to the scene to evict Peniston after being contacted by a deli manager who claimed he was annoying customers.

Magistrate Archibald Warner imposed the custodial sentence after hearing that Peniston had several previous convictions for similar offences.
