Knowing hundreds of children will soon be flying their kites, Belco's Lisa Almeida and Cornell Dunkley will visit 24 schools over the next two weeks discussing safety tips, said Belco spokesperson Kerry Judd.
The pair will show more than 1,800 primary one and primary two students the Belco Bird slide show and discuss electricity and safe kite flying methods.
Ms Judd added that the company will also be holding its annual Kite Safety Poster Competition which is open to all primary one and two students.
Competition rules will be distributed during school visits or can be obtained from Belco Customer Service agents in St. George's, Somerset, Phillip's House in Hamilton and the head office on Serpentine Road.
