Mr. Kessaram's appointment follows a three-year tenure of Mr. Michael Jones , who is now returning to full time corporate work. Mr. Kessaram is the partner in charge of the firm's private client department, a responsibility he will continue. Mr. Jones will retain overall responsibility for marketing and the firm's relationship with Commercial Law Affiliates (CLA) the world's largest affiliation of independent, mid-sized business law firms, of which Cox & Wilkinson is the exclusive Bermuda member. Mr. Jones said that the CLA connection gives the law firm global reach in advising clients.
