A branch of the UK high street retailer French Connection is set to open on Reid Street, at the former site of the Yankee Store.

The Hornburg Calypso group has been renovating the space in recent months, and it appears to be close to ready for customers. Hornburg Calypso general manager Pierre Dutoya told The Royal Gazette in an interview earlier this year that the store would open its doors before Christmas.

The store, best known by its logo fcuk, is popular in Britain for fashionable “trendy” gear for both men and women.

It has also successfully branched out into Europe.

The store was named “British Retailer of the Year” for two years running and is in most towns and cities in the UK.
