Belco gains ground

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange index yesterday rose fractionally after Belco shares gained some ground.
The index rose 3.86 points or 0.13 percent to close at 2,972.89 after BELCO gained 75 cents to close at $36.00, but just 107 shares traded.
The biggest bulk of trading was once again in Bank of Butterfield, which saw 13,570 shares change hands, but stock remained at $44.
Argus and Bermuda Container Line also traded, but closed unchanged at $25.50 and $10.00 respectively.
During yesterday's trading 18,077 shares worth $668,228.50 changed hands.
