But Commission secretary Mr. Gladstone Bassett has stated there were no plans for public participation at the opening meeting.

Mr. Bassett said the Commission had already received many submissions following an October 4 advertisement.

"It is anticipated that further written submissions will be sought by the Commission, so that all persons shall have full and proper opportunity to make written submissions to the Commission.

"It is further anticipated that after the opening of the inquiry, the inquiry will be adjourned to specific dates as chosen or as decided by the chairman, in the near future, so that proper summonses may be prepared and served as necessary, to allow for the attendance of witnesses at a mutually convenient date.'' Mr. Bassett said Monday's opening meeting would start at 10 a.m.
