PLP candidate Wayne Perinchief is a former Assistant Police Commissioner who is now director of security at the Fairmont Southampton hotel.

Mr. Perinchief and running mate Neletha Butterfield won the Pembroke West Central seat in the 1998 election.

He is currently chairman of the Airport Advisory Committee, and sits on the Broadcasting Commission, the National Drug Commission, and the Public Accounts Committee.

Educated at the Berkeley Institute, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree at Queen's University in Canada and a Master's degree in Management and Human Resources from Webster University. Starting as a constable, he worked his way through the ranks to become Assistant Commissioner, but was controversially forced to leave the service in 1995 when former Commissioner Colin Coxall streamlined the Police.

He successfully sued the former government.

AME minister the Rev. Leonard Santucci of the United Bermuda Party was an Opposition senator until Parliament was dissolved.

Educated at Sandys Secondary School, he took a diploma in Arts and Science at Bermuda College and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Acadia University in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Currently the pastor at Heard Chapel AME in Pembroke, he took a doctorate in ministry between 1997 and 1999.

He is a former associate registrar at Bermuda College and was until last year, the training development coordinator.

A former chairman of the Sports Development Committee and deputy chairman of Crimestoppers, Dr. Santucci also served as a commissioner on the Commission on Unity and Racial Equality.

He was appointed a UBP senator in 2001 and unsuccessfully contested the Pembroke East Central seat last year.

He is married to Donna. They have two children, Kyle, ten, and Tyler, seven.
