A visiting youth orchestra combined with Bermuda High School students to wow audiences in an open air concert in front of City Hall yesterday afternoon.

BHS music teacher Dana Marie Semos said the visiting students were from her former school in Connecticut, where she taught before marrying and moving to Bermuda.

The orchestra was made up of the 27 students from Darien High School and 11 BHS girls.

The students ranged in age from 13 to 18 years old and there were nine boys playing from Darien.

The orchestra also played at the Anglican Cathedral on Saturday.

Mrs. Semos said they played the Capriol Suite, by Peter Warlock, the Palladio by Jenkins, the St. Paul Suite by Gustav Holst, and Pizzacato Polka by Strauss.

They came in on Friday night and the students fly home today. BHS students will travel to Connecticut next year.
